The Department for Private Hospitals communicates with all parties to fulfill the needs of hospitals as soon as possible. It works to provide most of the unavailable medicines (support and shortages department) in addition to providing narcotic medicines and second schedule medicines according to the approval of the Drug Authority. It communicates with supplier companies to provide all items and make sales offers for hospitals. The department endeavors to raise customer requests and work to solve their issues as soon as possible. The General Administration of Private Hospitals serves five regions:

1. West Cairo region (Cairo - Qalyubia - Menoufia - Tanta)
2. South and East Cairo region (Giza - October - Sharqia - Canal - North Upper Egypt)
3. North Delta (Dakahlia - Damietta)
4. Alexandria (Beheira, Kafr El Sheikh, Matrouh)
5. Upper Egypt (Assiut, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan)
